At Save the Sole, our journey is paved with compassion, dedication, and the belief that a single pair of shoes can make a monumental difference in someone's life. Founded by the dynamic trio of siblings - Aarav Parekh, Arsh Parekh, and Anaya Parekh - our mission is rooted in the heart of the Parekh Family Foundation's philanthropic efforts.
As children and teenagers, Aarav, Arsh, and Anaya recognized the power of collective action and the impact it could have on underprivileged communities across the globe. Driven by the desire to contribute meaningfully to the Foundation's work, they embarked on a mission: to organize shoe drives that would provide new beginnings and fresh steps forward for those in need.
Our Mission: More Than Just Shoes
Through shoe drives, Save the Sole gathers new and gently used shoes, preparing them for journeys that span continents. Each pair, carefully packed by the hands of Aarav, Arsh, and Anaya, finds its way to homeless shelters, hospitals, and charitable organizations in need. Our focus, while significantly centered in India, embraces communities in Mauritius, Kenya, Turkey, the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina, and Trenton, New Jersey, among others.
For many recipients, these shoes represent their first and only pair, a symbol of hope and the promise of better days. To date, nearly 3,000 pairs of shoes have been personally delivered by these three dedicated siblings, touching lives and paving paths to brighter futures.
